Bottom line: I paid top-dollar for Ascent and I'm still on the fence about whether it was worth it. They moved a mission-critical aerospace pallet fast and PEAK tracking actually kept me from sitting idle - I've been hauling in the Northeast nine years and that visibility mattered, but the brokerage fee ran about 20% higher than my usual spots. Good for last-minute life-or-death loads, less so as a regular expense.

Last Tuesday I pulled into Kenco's Albany yard and the appointment portal had my dock assignment and gate pass ready before I even reached the scale. After nine years on Northeast routes, I've seen systems that promise live updates - this one actually sent ETA changes to my phone so I avoided wasting an hour sitting idle. Nice setup; the handheld scanner locked up twice during unloading which cost some time, so four stars from me.

Nine years on the road in the Northeast has made me picky about trucking apps, but TFI’s mobile app nails one thing: the photo proof-of-delivery upload is fast and reliable. I can snap a pic, hit upload, and it’s logged before the receiver even signs - huge time saver on tight runs. It does hiccup on weak cell spots sometimes, but for day-to-day paperwork it’s a real help.

Getting set up with Kerry felt like solving a Rubik's cube blindfolded. Their portal kept rejecting my carrier docs, support kept passing me from person to person, and it took two weeks to get authority to pick up one load - cost me three paid runs and a week of income. I'm a company driver with nine years in the Northeast; for Asia‑U.S. routes I expected smoother onboarding, not this slow mess.

Bottom line: their appointment windows are useless - cost me a full day and a detention fee. I rolled into the terminal on time for a noon slot and sat six hours while dispatch kept bumping my time and the dock acted surprised I was there; blew the rest of my run and messed up the next customer's schedule. Support offered excuses, not fixes, and out here in the Northeast that kind of unpredictability costs real money, so I won't be booking with them again until scheduling actually works.

...the GPS feed actually saved me a ton of time. Been a company driver nine years in the Northeast and their live ETAs and push alerts let me skip sitting for a backed-up dock - cut one stop's wait by almost an hour. Only knock is the app glitches when toggling lanes, but still solid for tracking.

I've used the Werner Logistics app for about a year. After nine years on the road I can tell when an app helps or hinders - this one gives good live tracking and usually handles POD photo uploads fine when you've got signal, but its ETA numbers wobble all over and it has a habit of logging me out right when I'm trying to update a stop. So half the time it actually saves me calls and keeps things moving, the other half I'm restarting it in a truck stop and grumbling into my coffee.

Real-time load tracking on their app is the main thing I liked - it actually shows where the trailer is instead of leaving you guessing. Compared to the small broker I ran with before, who’d text once and disappear, Mode gives steady ETAs and updates so I’m not wasting hours at docks in the Northeast. I’ve been driving nine years and that kind of clarity makes runs less stressful; pay’s about the same, so I’m giving them a solid 4/5.

Used them for nine years. Last month AIT routed a refrigerated load to the wrong pier and my trailer sat idle for almost two days while the consignee was told it hadn’t arrived - driver unpaid, per diem stacking up, and I missed another booked run; cost me about $450 out of pocket. Their tracking showed everything 'in transit' so no one had a real answer when I called, and that level of radio silence was infuriating.

During a holiday snowstorm my refrigerated pallet started creeping up in temp while I sat at a closed weigh station; Americold's app pinged me and their night crew pulled the pallet into their cooler and dropped the temp back down before anything spoiled. After nine years on the road, that's the first time a live temp alert actually saved a load for me. Not perfect - the handoff took a while - but their monitoring worked when it mattered, so 4/5.

Hated how convoluted GEODIS's onboarding was - paperwork everywhere, passwords that didn't sync, and the carrier portal kept throwing errors. Took me days to get my authority linked and ELD talking to their systems; I missed two runs while waiting and that wiped out a week's pay after detention charges. I've been driving nine years around the Northeast and expected faster turnaround; support gave vague answers and the whole start-up felt like a time sink, so 2/5 from me.
