Six years behind the wheel in the Midwest means I live in my phone's map app. ShipHawk's mobile app actually saved my day more than once - I snap a photo, capture a signature, and generate/email the label right from the cab; no detour back to the terminal. Push updates are snappy so I don't show up to the wrong dock.

On my first run they handed me a tablet and said "Use Fretron for updates" - I almost rolled my eyes, but a one-time text link got me into the exact load in under a minute. What really sold me was that SMS auto-login that dropped me right on the shipment page; no hunting through emails or resetting passwords between stops. Setting up the office side took a short call, but for a driver running routes across the Midwest it removed a ton of phone tag, so I'm giving it a solid 4/5.

After six years behind the wheel in the Midwest I moved into a small brokerage and had to get everyone onto DAT Broker TMS fast. The thing that made me happiest was the carrier CSV import and setup wizard - we had about 50 carriers in the system with very little cleanup, which saved a ton of time. Only hiccup was mapping a few custom pay terms that needed a support call, but they got back to us the same day.

Bottom line: LoadPilot is a clear upgrade from the spreadsheet-and-text-message chaos I used before - it gets the basics right without puffing up with junk. The feature that actually made my life easier was the missing-docs alert; I used to spend an hour a day chasing BOLs and now it flags the problem as soon as the load’s created. Out here in the Midwest the simpler carrier assignment screen is nice, but those alerts are the real time-saver.

Bottom line: their support actually answers fast and stays with you until the issue is fixed. Mid-run across the Midwest I had a messed-up BOL and the rep stayed on the phone, reissued the corrected doc, and pushed it to accounting so the invoice was adjusted same day - saved me a ton of back-and-forth with dispatch. The app has rough edges, but the folks on the other end make it worth using.

Bottom line: getting started with Tai TMS was a nightmare. They promised fast onboarding but it dragged on for three weeks, support kept passing me between reps, and the carrier/load board integrations never actually synced so I ended up hand-entering loads and still had wrong rates show up. I'm a company driver with six years in the Midwest - missed pickups and late invoices cost me pay and wasted hours I can't get back.

I've used it for about a year. I'm a company-driver out here in the Midwest and what really sold me was the billing/invoicing setup - the app tucks my POD photos into the invoice, auto-matches rates and can blast invoices straight to my factoring company so I don't have to babysit paperwork. Saved me trips to the terminal and payments actually hit faster; small thing but it made my life way easier.

Yesterday at a cold I-80 rest stop I snapped a BOL photo, hit upload, and the app just queued it until I had service - came up on the dispatcher’s side within minutes of me hitting the highway. After six years running company trucks around the Midwest, that automatic photo/attach feature is what actually speeds up pay, not flashy extras. UI could be a bit cleaner for jotting quick notes, but that upload reliability wins me over.

Bottom line: it usually does the job, but don’t count on it being flawless when things get busy. Dispatch updates sync up most days and save me from calling the office, but a few times this season it froze right when I was about to roll and I ended up sitting while support poked around - out here in the Midwest that’s more than an annoyance. Fuel tracking is handy and cuts out some paperwork, yet driver-pay calculations have flubbed an accessorial a couple times so I’ve had to chase corrections.

Bottom line: it usually gets the job done, but don’t count on it in a pinch. After six years driving around the Midwest as a company-driver, I depend on the dispatch board and invoicing to work instantly - and TruckingOffice is flaky: invoices have failed to send and the dispatch screen has frozen at the worst times. I’m torn because when it behaves it saves hours, but the occasional downtime and slow fixes mean I still run a paper backup.

…had to call support twice before my setup actually matched our routes. The UI looked straightforward at first but the commodity options and pay codes hid in weird places - after six years hauling grain in the Midwest I still mis-clicked a few loads. Once dispatchers fixed the defaults it ran okay, but getting there felt like untangling a tarp in the rain.

When the shipper bumped my hopper pickup two hours before roll time I was already on the road and scrambling. I called BulkLoads support and a rep called me back in about ten minutes, sorted things with the shipper and slid me onto a nearby load so I didn’t deadhead - that fast callback is what actually saved the day. I’ve been hauling bulk around the Midwest for six years, so I care about quick help; the app’s notifications could be better, but the people on the phone get four stars from me.
