Bottom line: Kaleris TMS blew away the clunky system we had before - no more endless phone tag with carriers. The real-time shipment trakcing and dead-on ETAs are what sold me; I run a couple trucks in the Northeast so the yard/terminal connections actually cut dispatch time by hours each week. It's been a night-and-day change for dispatching - definately worth the switch.

Used it for about nine months. Paid a steady monthly fee plus per-label charges and it never paid off - the rate shopping pushed pricier carriers and I still had to call carriers to fix bookings, definately not worth the price. Support took days and I kept finding surprise charges on the invoices, cost me a few hundred bucks I could've used for fuel up here in the Northeast.

The rate comparison tool is what sold me - it spits out carrier options fast and sometimes saves real money, but it's also kind of flaky. I run a one-truck operation in the Northeast with seven years on the road and what kept biting me was transit days and delivery windows coming back wrong, which screwed up pickups more than once. It's handy when it works and maddening when it doesnt; I still use it for quick quotes but double-check everything, and the UI has odd lag/refresh bugs that drive me nuts.

...and the app actually pings me when a load changes status - saved me from sitting on a dock for an hour last week. I'm an owner-operator, 7 years in the Northeast, so those push notifs and live tracking are the thing that made me happy. UI gets cramped on my old phone and it somtimes lags, but mostly it just works and keeps me moving.

…the push notif woke me up to a hot load on I-95 and I hit accept before my coffee even finished brewing. Been an owner-operator for 7 years so instant matches matter, and Cargo Chief's one-tap accept + quick price quote saved me an hour of calls today. Only gripe is the app definately lags when switching map views and it crashed once, but it still gets me booked fast.

...thought it was set, clicked confirm and the screen showed the carrier assigned - only for the pickup to be a no-show because the carrier never got the notfied email. I'm an owner-operator with 7 years on the road so I obviously double-checked, and watching my driver sit while I dug through LoadPilot's logs was frustating; the alert that should've fired never did. The UI is plain and easy enough to fix billing after the fact, but that one missed notification cost me time and money, so I'm kinda torn about sticking with it - simple, but flaky when it counts.

...the app's photo upload for POD saved me hours last week - snaps are gps-stamped and go straight into the broker portal, so no more emailing pics or waitin on paperwork. Push notifications for new loads are clutch; I can accept runs between stops without digging through my laptop. Gets a bit laggy pulling up old shipments sometimes, but solid 4/5 since it actually makes day-to-day life easier.

The week before Thanksgivng the app froze right when I was reassigning a load - dispatcher couldn't see the change and the shipper cancelled, cost me nearly a grand. I'm an owner-operator in the Northeast with seven years under my belt, and usually I like how light-weight ITS Dispatch is, quick to open on my tablet, tho the invoiceing screen gets finicky and trip edits sometimes disappear. Support took a couple days to sort it out, so I'm torn: it saves me time most weeks but when it breaks it's a real pain and expensive.

...saved my butt last month when a broker rerouted a load mid-trip - I changed the dispatch in Axon and it pushed that update straight to billing and driver pay so I didn't have to re-enter a ton of stuff at 2am, avoided a billing mess. I've been running my own truck for 7 years up here in the Northeast and that one little sync made me smile. A few screens are clunky and it can be slow on bad cell days, but it definately handled the thing that matters most to me.
