Owner-operator in the Northeast, been at this for seven years. Used to roll with a small local broker who knew my lanes and would hold rates when things went sideways; Uber Freight's app is slick and bookings are fast, but rates are way more volatile and there's less wiggle-room when a pickup's late. Fast pay is nice, but I realy miss that human touch - mixed feelings, tho.

I like the quick scan for docs, but notifcations are random and it boots me out mid-run; after 7 years on the road in the Northeast I shouldn't have to call a broker because the app forgot the pickup. Torn 'cause when it's working it's actually handy, but the daily flakiness makes me check everything twice which is a pain.
Seven years running my own truck in the Northeast, I needed a broker that actually picks up the phone. Getting started with TQL wasnt perfect but way easier than I expected - a rep called same day, set up my acct and walked me through TQL TRAX so I could see loads on my phone. The app demo made me happy, tracking worked same afternoon; the onboarding paperwork was a bit clunky and took extra scans tho.
After seven years running solo out of the Northeast I finally gave J.B. Hunt a shot and their 360 app cut my deadhead miles almost in half - actually finds loads that line up with my route instead of the scattershot broker crap I used before. The matching is the thing that made me happy, quick and usually accurate so I spend less time hunting and more time driving. cant believe I waited this long lol
...they actually showed up when my December load got rerouted at midnight and didn't panic. After 7 years on the road in the Northeast, watching them take a carrier meltdown and do a same-day sort-and-reroute so our shelves stayed stocked made me grin - order errors stayed low and the driver updates were legit. Not perfect but it definately worked when it mattered and thats what counts.
...Navisphere live tracking actually saved me on a last-minute reroute - I could see trailer location and ETA and rebooked a pickup before the broker even knew there was a problem. Me (owner-operator, 7 yrs in the Northeast) really like how the realtime map shows dwell times so you don't end up siting for hours; that alone earns them props. Only gripe is the app crashed once this month and took a minute to reload, but probs the best tracking I've used so far.
After seven years running a small Northeast seller operation, I moved a chunk of my catalog into FBA/MCF to keep up with holiday demand. One SKU vanished after an “inventory reconciliation” and a customer was sent the wrong item - six emails and two weeks later I had to refund and shiped a replacement out of pocket while Amazon kept saying 'investigation ongoing' and then slapped a fee on me; pretty maddening. Their delivery speed is insane and definately saved me during Black Friday, so I'm torn - it can bail you out but that lost-sku hot mess makes me think twice about throwing everything at them, meh.
Yesterday I booked a Philly→Boston load at 9pm, hit "Book" and the app flashed "Confirmed" - ten minutes later it vanished like it never existed and my dispatch was blowing up my phone. The booking/confirmation feature is weirdly flaky; sometimes it's instant and clean, other times it ghosts you and you lose the lane. The search filters though actually find lanes and pricing quick, so I'm kinda torn - nice when it works, maddening when it doesn't. Gonna keep using it but definately double-check confirmations by call.
…that rate compare tool is stupidly handy. It spits out LTL vs parcel options with carrier names and transit times so quck I booked a pallet while still drinking my coffee - saved me about $180 on a Northeast run last week. Been an owner-operator 7 years up here and this is the first TMS that actually made quoting feel effortless, one tiny hiccup with pickup times but no big deal.
Last Saturday when the original carrier canceled two hours before pickup, Uber Freight TMS pulled up a replacement carrier in about 20 minutes and the dispatcher actually sent live updates so I knew what was happening. I run solo up in the Northeast so that quick match saved me a deadday and a big headache. Tracking can be a bit slow sometimes and payments take a beat, but the system actually works when you need it - 4 stars, saved my ass that day.
Last Tuesday the app showed my trailer at the customer's dock but the timestamp never updated and the ePOD wouldn't open when they scanned - held us up an hour. After 7 years on the road in the Northeast I know systems have hiccups, and Shiptify sometimes is pretty handy with quick quotes and notes, but other times it's laggy and files just wont load when you need them. I'm torn because when it's working it's useful, but the spotty reliability makes me nervous to trust it on tight runs; frustratng.
