Bottom line: customer support is terrible and it cost me a weeks pay. I opened a ticket when invoicing stopped syncing and they kept saying they'd escaleted it but days went by with repsonse times of 48+ hours then radio silence - missed two payouts and I had to chase brokers myself. I've run my own truck 7 years in the Northeast and expected faster help; after hours on hold and no follow thru I switched part of my billing to manual, super frustating.

Been running my own truck in the Northeast for 7 years so accurate miles matter, and Dr Dispatch auto-timestamps pickups/deliveries and keeps a running mileage log that cut my paperwork down to like 30 min a day (saved me houres). One nitpick: if a driver forgets to hit start you gotta tweak the odometer manually, but still gets a solid 4 stars from me.
Used it for about 8 months and got us up and running way quicker than I thought. The CSV import is the one thing that actually made me happy - dumped a season of orders in one go and the system parsed em clean, suprised how little cleanup I had to do. I'm an owner-operator with 7 years on the road in the Northeast, so short setup + a support rep who stayed on the call until my lanes looked right = big win for me.
Bottom line: the mobile app saves me real minutes every day because I can update loads in two taps. I run solo in the Northeast with seven years under my belt, and those big Arrived/Departed buttons plus instant push notes from dispatch cut down on wasted time and phone tag - no more typing at sketchy truckstop wifi. It somtimes lags on weak signal and the GPS will wander, but for day-to-day use it's been a solid time saver.
...and for a minute Cortex actually reccomended a route that shaved 45 mins off my I-95 run - felt like a miracle until the live-tracking glitched and the broker said I was late. Then the invoicing auto-send doubled a bill to a small shipper and I spent two days untangling payments while support took forever to answer. I'm an owner-operator in the Northeast with 7 years on the road, so I'm torn - routing can be a real help, but the billing/tracking screwups make me uneasy about using it full-time.
Solo owner-operator for seven years out of the Northeast. Price felt steep at first - monthly fee way higher than those budget ELDs, but it paid for itself when the clean HOS logs kept a DOT inspector from throwing me a $600 ticket. Worth every penny for peace of mind, defintely keeping it.
Thought it'd cut my overhead, but the monthly price plus per-load fees royally ate my margins - $400/mo plus surprise per-invoice charges had me losing money on short runs. Support dragged their feet and setup took weeks, so I missed loads and my cashflow took a hit; as an owner-operator with 7 years in the Northeast I can't afford that. Save your cash until they sort pricing, I definately should've shopped around.
Bottom line: worth the monthly fee for us - 4/5. The asset tracking was the thing that made me happy; it caught a trailer that kept disappearing and that visibility saved us on detention and surprise repairs, so the subscription definately paid for itself in a couple months. UI can be clunky and some reports are slow, but for the price it's worthwile if you need to keep tabs on gear.
Bottom line: not worth the money - overpriced for what you actually get. I shelled out thousands up front, plus monthly fees and surprise charges, and after 7 years on the road I expected more loads or easier dispatching but got neither and it just drained cash. If you're a small owner-operator in the Northeast like me, save your money - this felt like paying for a fancy dashboard that doesnt help me find work, support was slow and the whole deal definately wasn't worth it.
I've used TMW Suite for 3 years. The dispatch board is the one feature that both helps and hurts me - after 7 years on the road in the Northeast I like how granular the filters are and can find lanes fast, but the UI gets laggy and freuqently freezes during peak runs so I end up restarting the app. When it behaves acutally it cuts my planning time a lot; when it doesn't I just waste time fiddling with windows.
Bottom line: getting started with project44 actually went quicker than I figured it would - got my first carrier hooked up in a morning. The onboarding rep helped me gen API keys and walk thru the carrier connection step-by-step, which was the one thing that made me happy. I run one truck in the Northeast so didnt need every bell and whistle, and the UI felt a bit cluttered at first, but once that carrier pinged live things smoothed out, tho.
The worst part was when CargoWise crashed the morning my cross-border load needed customs clearance - we lost two hours and almost missed a pickup. Where I run things (owner-operator, Northeast), that delay cost me a broker fee and a long call fight. When it finally came back up the system pulled all the pre-saved docs and cleared the shipment in minutes, so i'm honestly torn - it can save you a ton, but that outage was brutal and makes me nervous every time I hit submit.
