Last December I got a 2AM alert that a pallet's temp was climbing and probably saved a $6k load - OnAsset's temp sensors actually worked when my old tracker would only ping every few hours. But the dashboard is clunky, they spam alerts for every tiny bump and the tag batteries die quicker than they told us; I run three trucks in the Southwest so sometiems the important stuff gets lost in the noise, 3 stars.
Bottom line: Decklar's ETA predictions are unreliable and cost me real money. I run three trucks in the Southwest with four years on the road and the ETAs kept jumping 3–6 hrs, sent false "on time" alerts so brokers rebooked loads, we got hit with detentn fees and pissed customers - wasted a week's pay, very frustrated and probably dropping it.
At 2:17am a temp sensor spiked to +10°C and Tive support logged it then ghosted me - by 07:00 the pallet was ruined and they never called back. I run three trucks in the Southwest and that $3,200 loss plus days of 'investigating' with no solution (suppport kept closing tickets) means I'm done with them, awful service and zero accountability, explantion never provided.
Terrible support - they ghosted me during a load exception and it cost me cash. Had to chase emails for three days, chat bot spat out the wrong PRO and two reps contradicted each other; as an owner-operator with 3 trucks in the Southwest I lost two runs and about $700 in deadhead, billing sill wrong and nobody returns calls.
Disliked how the onboarding dragged - took a week to connect carriers and half our bookings never matched, cost me a missed pickup and wasted fuell. We run three trucks in the Southwest and the setup docs were vague, support was slooow, ended up doing manuall spreadsheets anyway so the $120/mo felt like a waste.
Kinda useful on the go but the mobile app is hit-or-miss - push notifcations usually show up after I’ve already moved on and it chews my battery down fast. I’ve got three trucks and four years in the Southwest, and when the map lags or the sync fails while I’m driving it feels like more work, yet every few weeks it actually flags a supplier problem early and that has saved me a load, so I’m torn.
Small owner-operator here - 3 trucks in the Southwest, we used to track everything with carrier emails and a beat-up Google sheet. ShipsGo promised one dashboard but ETAs were wrong, the live map lagged, and the API docs were a pain to intergrate; it cost me a missed pickup and a $350 detention fee - not what I expeced.
Good communication and pickup was on time. POD took a little longer than I would've liked to get back but I had it the same day. Would use them again.
Bottom line: don't book time-sensitive chemical runs through Odyssey - they cost me a week of work and $1,200 in detetion fees. Had a hazmat pickup in Phoenix that they re-scheduled twice, disptacher ghosted for 24+ hrs, driver sat at the yard 48 hrs, we lost a repeat custmer and they still billed a bogus stop fee; totally messed my month.
