Abelardo Lind's review of Hellotracks

I've used HelloTracks for about nine months - compared to managing deliveries with spreadsheets and constant driver texts, the live driver map and ETAs actually stopped a ton of status calls and made routing decisions instant instead of guessing. It's not perfect (occasional GPS lag), but that single visibility feature saved us hours each week across our 15-truck operation in the Southwest.

Used HelloTracks for about 2 years, and last month one of my drivers got rerouted by the app into a dead-end dirt road - GPS jumped, ETA flipped from 20 mins to 2 hours and the customer started blowin up my phone even though the driver finally got a photo proof of delivery; kind of a mess. I'm an owner-operator with three trucks in the Southwest so delays cost me, and while the POD pics and driver chat saved us that day the flaky routing and missed customer notifcations leave me anoyed and torn about keeping it.

Bottom line: their support team is the reason we didn't lose a single delivery during last quarter's holiday crush. When an integration hiccup started dropping location pings, one engineer stayed on the line with our dispatcher for four hours, walked us through a temporary routing bypass and pushed a permanent fix that night. For a 150-truck operation in the Northeast that was enormous - they didn't just close the ticket, they sent a short playbook we could hand to drivers and coached our ops lead the next morning. Response times are almost always under an hour and the follow-ups include annotated logs and screenshots so my crew actually learns instead of guessing. The web UI could be tidier, but the human support more than makes up for the rough edges.

During a thunderstorm that knocked out several cell towers last Wednesday our east-end route still showed live locations down to the street level, which stopped a potential cascade of missed pickups. What made me realy happy was the tracking - updates continued to trickle in and gave me the confidence to reroute drivers on the fly, even though ETAs and POD uploads lagged a few minutes. One quirk: proof-of-delivery photos sometimes took longer to sync, but the location data was dependible enough for day-to-day decisions.
