Bottom line: not worth the price - higher refrigerated rates turned into a money sink. For my 80-truck fleet the supposed $300 premium per load disappeared into endless paperwork and detention, and one spoiled produce run flipped a $1,200 margin into a $2,000 loss, so paying more for Scotlynn didn't save us a dime.

Not worth the premium. Booked several West Coast lanes through Knight-Swift Logistics and between inflated broker rates and surprise accessorials we bled margin - paid more per mile than going direct to carriers and it cost my fleet a bad month.

When the tracking portal flipped ETAs by hours and then stalled with no updates while the consignee waited, that one flaky feature cost us a weekend in detention and a lost pallet. My drivers were on the phone non-stop; Mode’s so-called visibility barely helped.

I've used Landstar for seven years. Their real-time load tracking is what keeps me coming back - running about 80 trucks on the West Coast, those live ETA updates cut down the constant status calls and actually let me slot pickups and dropoffs without guessing.

Seven years with NFI and when the schedule blows up they usually pull through. Their live-tracking portal - accurate ETAs and instant alerts - saved us last Black Friday when a breakdown threatened four pickups; not flawless, but dependable enough to keep our customers off my back.

Their support team answered a late-night reroute faster than I expected. On the West Coast, juggling about 80 trucks with seven years of dispatching behind me, having a rep stay on the line while I reworked driver assignments and they updated Hub Connect live turned what could’ve been a full-day mess into a quick fix.

Seven years dispatching an 80-truck fleet on the West Coast taught me to stop trusting empty promises - Schneider was actually there when I needed capacity, consistently hitting pickup windows and keeping my lanes moving. Not flawless (their portal can be clunky), but when timing mattered they delivered.

Real-time tracking saved a delivery for us. We had a pallet stuck after a bridge closure in LA - running about 80 trucks on the West Coast with seven years dispatching under my belt, I jumped into WWEX Group's dashboard, swapped carriers through their network in minutes, and the pallet showed up that night.
