On the first run my driver sat four hours at the dock because Savi's onboarding team had the wrong SCAC tied to our account and the container never showed in the dashboard. Used it for 9 months and finally tossed it for my old tracker - ETAs were wildly off and the live map jittered 20+ miles like it was drunk. Thought it'd be better than my old tracker, but IntelliTrans kept pinging carriers with wrong ETAs and the live map froze three times on one run - wsted time and fuel waiting at a dock. Bottom line: MacroPoint got me out of a detention once, but it also showed “on the way” for eight hours while the trailer sat at the dock - that glitch cost me a day's pay. Used it for about 14 months. Alerts came 36hrs late, dashboard wouldnt refresh and CS promised escalation but never called back; for an owner-operator with 18 yrs in the Southeast that false comfort cost real money and sleepless nights.
Liked that it spotted a temprature spike on an overnight reefer run and the alert probbly saved the load. But the GPS/indoor positioning went mesed up at the depot and the API stopped reporting for almost 90 mins - cost me a reroute and a p'd off customer after 18 years hauling, so I'm torn.
Used it for about 3 months. Setup was a nightmare - devices wouldn’t register right, mapping was off, support kept giving conflicting instrux and took days to answer; after 18 years on the road I wasted time and roughly $350 in extra miles and missed stops getting this thing to actually work.
We've done three shipments with them so far. All three delivered on time. I'd like the documentation to come through a little faster after delivery. Last shipment I had to ask for it, but they sent it over pretty quickly once I did. Operationally no complaints.
