Midwest hauler with 40 trucks and twenty years under my belt - this is the setup I brought to e2open TMS. The sticker price and implementation bill were painful: license fees, integration charges, and extra cost for the carrier modules added up to something closer to an ERP line item than a dispatch tool. It did give better visibility on a few high-cost lanes and cut some admin hours, but those savings have only barely offset the monthly fees so far. I’m genuinely torn: there’s real capability in the product, yet unless you can absorb the upfront hit or squeeze significant freight savings, the math doesn’t feel solid for a mid-size fleet. I’m keeping it, but only because we’ve sunk time into training - if next quarter’s numbers don’t improve, it’s on the chopping block.
