The live ETA update saved my bacon when a vessel hit a berth delay in Tacoma. I rerouted a dray on the fly and avoided a day's detention - I'm an owner-operator in the Pacific Northwest with 8 years under my belt and that one alert paid for the subcription. Wish the carrier feed was less mising sometimes, had to call once to confirm, but overall it did the job.

…and the ETA refreshes kept flipping to 'Delayed' with no reason. We had a trailer at the terminal that flashed 'Gate Out' then reverted to 'At Terminal' three separate times in one afternoon; drivers were sent home and detention piled up while the dashboard played ping-pong. I manage 40 trucks in the Midwest - that mess alone cost us about $1,200 in detention and two missed pickups that forced expensive reroutes. The milestone timeline (the whole selling point) is just a noisy feed of duplicate events and late carrier timestamps, so it gives you a false sense of control. Support shrugged about carrier feeds; that excuse doesn't pay my drivers or the reroute invoices.

Yesterday my container was marked "stuck at gate" and the Terminal49 support chat went totally silent for about 6 hrs. They finally called back and were nice enough, helped push an update, but the ticket showed wrong timestamps and I had to repeat everything - I'm an owner-operator in the Midwest with 12 years on the road so that extra hassle cost me a day and was pretty anoying. The dashboard gives quick ETAs so I keep using it, but their support flakiness makes me torn about relying on them full-time.
