Orland Dibbert's review of EchoShip

Bottom line: EchoShip gets you quick quotes but don't count on it to lock a load. One time it priced and tendered a Midwest lane, the carrier accepted in the app and then canceled two hours before pickup and tracking went dead - I've been dispatching 18 years and run about 40 trucks, so that scramble cost us detention and a tense customer call, and support's chat response came way too late and the credit they offered barely covered fuel.

Bottom line: EchoShip won me over with one prompt, effective support interaction. When a carrier assignment fell through mid-day, a support specialist (Maria) had alternate capacity lined up and tendered it within an hour - that quick, hands-on attention kept our 55-truck fleet on schedule. The platform could be more intuitive in places, but the responsiveness of their team makes it practical for high-volume operations.

...got the platform set up in a couple afternoons, mostly because the instant pricing feature let me run a handful of lanes and see realistic rates right away. Sign-up wasn't perfect - a couple carrier approvals needed manual follow-up - but the UI walks you through the essentials so you don't get stuck. I've spent 25 years hauling freight around the Midwest and manage 120 trucks, so onboarding friction bothers me; that instant quote feedback is what actually made me happy. Tracking and digital tendering worked as expected, and support answered a weird mapping question the same day. Not five stars only because a few carriers needed extra paperwork, but getting started was surprisingly quick.

I've used EchoShip for two years. The mobile app is painfully unreliable - it times out when drivers try to accept a tender and frequently freezes during routing, which killed a couple of pickups last month. With a 75-truck fleet up and down the Pacific Northwest that translated into missed loads and over $3,500 in detention fees last quarter alone, plus frantic calls to rebook. The shipment visibility on the app is worse than useless; GPS updates are stale so customers get false "in transit" alerts and my dispatchers waste hours chasing confirmations. Fix the mobile experience, Echo - until then it costs me time and money every day.
