Emerald Heller's review of Dispatch America

What sold me was they answered at 10pm when my driver needed a reroute - they actually picked up and found a workable load. With three trucks and 22 years out of the Midwest, reliability like that matters; Dispatch America kept us rolling more nights than not. Only gripe is they don't always get the highest rates, so I still push on negotiations, but worth the peace of mind.

What I liked most was their dispatch team - they actually answer fast and stick with you until the problem is sorted. Had a sudden reroute in a PNW storm and they handled the broker back-and-forth, kept me rolling and kept my pay from tanking. Still had a billing hiccup once, but a call cleared it up same day, so for someone running a single truck this level of follow-through is worth it.

...thought their team would catch small issues before they ballooned. Support reps are friendly and when you get a steady person they move quick, especially on weekend pickups. But we run 120 trucks across Midwest lanes and have 25 years in this business, and too often the handoff between reps led to missed rate confirmations or brokers calling us directly - which is maddening. Onboarding was patient and thorough, yet the day-to-day follow-up is inconsistent enough that I find myself chasing them more than they chase loads. Torn between keeping them for the decent bursts of communication and looking elsewhere for steadier follow-through; three stars because the people are good but the reliability isn’t there.

I manage a 15-truck fleet in the Southeast with five years of experience and switched to Dispatch America after our in-house dispatcher left. Compared to the in-house team we had before, their load selection was poorer and rates were lower; they also mssed two pickup windows which cost us roughly $1,200 in lost revenue and driver downtime because comunication from their side was slow and the anwsers felt templated. We gave them three months but reverted back - billing was often incorrect and took weeks to fix, so for fleets used to tight opertional control this was a step back.
