Emory Rolfson's review of DispatchTrack
Last November a bridge closure and a surprise snowstorm forced three drivers onto hour-long detours, and DispatchTrack reworked their routes in real time so those runs still hit appointment windows. After 16 years managing an 85-truck fleet in the Pacific Northwest, I've paid for systems that promise miracles and sputter; this one actually trimmed our deadhead miles noticeably. The route optimization is what made me happiest - those automatic reassignments cut empty miles by roughly 10–12% on affected days, which translated directly into fuel and overtime savings. It isn't cheap - the annual subscription pushed our tech budget up - but with the drop in fuel spend and fewer missed windows we recovered the cost in under a year, so for our operation it felt worth the price.
