Mae Kris's review of DispatchTrack
Bottom line: DispatchTrack's live ETAs actually behave like the road does - no more static promised times that were outdated an hour later. We ran a clunky in-house GPS/Excel setup before and dispatchers lived on the phone; with 150 trucks on tight Northeast routes the drop in customer calls was immediate. The one feature that won me over was the dynamic ETA adjustments tied to vehicle location - when a driver hit traffic the ETA moved and the system pushed an exception so we could intervene before a complaint. Not perfect: the driver app has a few quirks and a couple backend integrations dragged out longer than expected. Still, for cutting down support time and getting arrival times people trust, this felt like a real step forward.
