Missouri Harvey's review of Onfleet Driver

Big win: live ETA nudges on the map. I'm an owner-operator with two trucks and five years in the Midwest, and when the app bumps ETAs and reroutes I barely have to micromanage drivers - plus the one-tap photo/signature proof means stops don't turn into paperwork headaches. Only gripe: offline maps can be spotty out in the boonies, but it handles day-to-day runs really well.

Yesterday a driver followed Onfleet’s route and mid-trip the app reshuffled the stop order, sending him three miles back and causing two timed deliveries to be missed and a customer to demand a refund. My 15-truck operation - ten years running deliveries across the Southwest with a different routing tool - lost more hours and had far more confused drivers than we ever did before; the old system kept stops fixed and navigation reliable, this one keeps reordering and it’s costing us time and money.

Yesterday, downtown construction forced a reroute and one driver updated the task in-app - the ETA refreshed for dispatch and the customer in under a minute, which stopped a flood of callback panic. After 18 years running dispatch for a 40-truck Midwest fleet and dealing with a clunky GPS/phone setup, those automatic ETA nudges are the one thing that genuinely cut my workload.

I've used Onfleet Driver for three years and getting it up and running was more painful than I expected. The onboarding process forced us to manually re-enter dozens of addresses because the bulk CSV import corrupted fields, and provisioning our 20 drivers took longer than training them; ridiculous. Drivers sat idle waiting for activation texts that often never arrived, and support gave canned responses that didn't solve the address-parsing errors - we burned hours and paid overtime for missed windows. Once it's working, it's okay, but the ramp-up cost and the amount of hands-on troubleshooting made me regret the swap.
