Bottom line: Americold's real-time temperature visibility beat our old provider by miles and actually saved a shipment. We used to get daily logs and spend half the morning on hold chasing anomalies; with Americold an alert popped up on my dispatcher's phone and we rerouted a pallet before it thawed. After 18 years running a 50-truck fleet in the Northeast, that sort of immediate warning is worth its weight in saved product and avoided headaches. Their appointment scheduling tightened up dock wait times too, which helped drivers stay on schedule, but it’s the temp alerts that sold me. Only downside: the mobile app can be slow to refresh at times, but it's a small trade for the visibility gain.
