Larissa Lemke's review of Ryder Supply Chain Solutions
Two months ago one of our weekend runs sat idle for 14 hours because Ryder's dock scheduler never actually booked the appointment even though RyderShare showed “confirmed” the whole time. We ended up eating roughly $4,200 in detention fees and losing a retail delivery window - drivers clocked but doing nothing, customers furious. I've run a 50-truck fleet for 18 years; with the small local carrier we used before, exceptions got fixed by a dispatcher who picked up the phone and solved problems in under an hour. Ryder's support funneled us into ticket loops and their API took three months to properly match our systems, which pushed back billing and reconciliation. If you're switching from a hands-on operator, expect visibility that looks good on-screen but won't save you from real-world scheduling misses, and plan for painful upfront costs.
