Nestor Stiedemann's review of Ryder Supply Chain Solutions

I've used Ryder for one year. Managing ten trucks on the West Coast, I've found that when their support team engages promptly they resolve routing and billing issues quickly, but too often cases stall in voicemail or sit unassigned for days - an especially painful problem for a small fleet with tight windows. RyderShare's live visibility can short-circuit phone tag, so there are flashes of genuinely helpful service, yet the inconsistent follow-through leaves me ambivalent about relying on them long term.

I've used it for three years, mostly on my phone. The thing that actually made my day-to-day better is the instant proof-of-delivery photo sync and ETA push alerts - seeing updated ETAs on the map cut down on mid-run phone traffic faster than I expected. The app's layout is simple enough for our drivers to pick up quickly, and I can filter loads by status in a couple taps. It does hiccup when we pull historical PODs for billing; search can be slow and the app sometimes jumps back to the main screen, so I still fire up a laptop for month-end. For managing a 75-truck operation in the Pacific Northwest, RyderShare's mobile tools shave dispatch time and reduce calls - four out of five from me.

I've used Ryder for eight months. Getting started was a slog: RyderShare looked great in demos but integrating it with our TMS required three separate API builds, patchy documentation, and constant hand-holding from their tech reps. After 25 years in the Midwest trucking business and running a 120-truck operation, I was surprised by how disjointed the onboarding team was - different reps kept changing requirements and the training sessions were full of slides, not actual workflows. We ended up assigning two IT people for six weeks and still had to manually batch uploads every morning; that meant overtime, missed retailer windows, and chargebacks that added up. Service works once it's live, but the startup headache and unexpected costs left me frustrated and unlikely to expand with them.

I've used Ryder for 11 years. When one of my two trucks died on a holiday run last winter they had a replacement on site by morning and the load still hit the dock - that kind of showing-up is everything. RyderShare's live tracking cut down the frantic calls from customers, so I'm giving them four stars (billing quirks keep it from five).
