Jalon King's review of Uber Freight TMS
Two weeks ago a high-priority refrigerated load vanished from our tracking board an hour before the driver was to pick it up. The real-time visibility feature - the one that convinced us to try Uber Freight TMS - oscillates between pinpoint GPS updates and long gaps of silence, so dispatchers ended up making dozens of calls and the consignee was never properly confrmed; sometimes the map is minute-accurate, other times it's 30+ minutes behind or never refreshes at all. I'm torn: for our 15-truck operation in the Southeast the live tracking is hugely helpful when it works and has saved time on a few runs, but the inconsistency and delayed pings (recieved late, sometimes) mean we can't fully trust ETAs and that creates extra work and doubt.
