The platform’s rate comparisons failed to beat our negotiated contracts, and after three months the monthly subscription plus per-shipment and integration charges offered no reasonable payback for a 200‑truck operation in the Southwest. Support also billed extra hours for fixes and moved slowly; for the price we paid the disruption and ongoing costs were unacceptable.
When the carrier bailed on us an hour before pickup I half-expected a day of phone tag and angry customers. FreightPOP let me pull up live rates, compare a handful of carriers, and book a replacement in about ten minutes - the new carrier confirmed in an email and we avoided a missed delivery and nearly $400 in delay fees. I've been managing a 150-truck fleet for 28 years in the Northeast, so I don't get impressed easily; that quick booking flow and instant confirmation is what sold me. Not flawless - some tracking feeds were slow that week - but for that emergency swap it paid for itself and kept our client happy.
