Mateo Senger's review of OpenText™ Business Network

Twenty-two years in trucking, dispatching a hundred rigs across the Northeast, so I live and die by the mobile app. It will spit out POD photos and route tweaks fast enough to save a driver’s day, then randomly freeze on a BOL search or stall uploads when you need them most - useful and aggravating in equal measure.

When my first EDI test failed at 2 a.m. before a weekend run, their onboarding rep jumped on a call and had the mapping fixed in under an hour. Getting our 40-truck fleet in the Midwest up and running was mostly painless after that - the auto-mapping tool saved me hours, though a few quirks took time to learn, so it's a solid 4/5.

Last Monday our EDI feed for a major supplier stopped syncing four hours before the day's cutoff, and invoices vanished from the portal. I opened a priority ticket and the first support rep was patient and walked us through logs, but the case was handed off twice and we waited 36 hours with no update while dispatchers scrambled. When the senior engineer finally intervened they corrected a mapping error and gave a workaround to prevent reoccurrence, which patched things but only after we did a lot of manual reconciliations that ate person-hours. I run 25 trucks in the Midwest and after four years managing integrations I can say their people know the tech, but their internal coordination is flaky - sometimes you get a quick, competent fix; sometimes you're left on hold. Three stars: the system helps when it’s working and support has capable folks, but be ready to chase them and keep a manual backup plan.

Real-time EDI alerts on the mobile app saved me from missing a pickup last week. For a two-truck operator in the Southwest with 14 years on the road, that tiny feature keeps paperwork tidy and cuts down on surprise detours and phone tag.
