I've used Descartes for about a year. Getting started was surprisingly painless - their carrier onboarding tool and prebuilt EDI templates had our main partners live in under two weeks. With 60 trucks in the Southeast, that quick activation was the thing that made me happiest; I was scheduling real loads within days instead of waiting months.

I've used Descartes for three years. What sold me was the mobile app's photo and signature capture - the drivers snap the picture, hit save, and it shows up on the load in the office within minutes once they get a signal. On our forty-truck fleet running Midwest lanes that little shortcut has cut down on back-and-forth calls and the usual email scavenger hunt for proof of delivery. Only gripe: the in-app search can be sluggish on big manifests and push notifications sometimes arrive late. Still, the time saved getting PODs straight to billing and customer service makes it worth using every day.
