Six years into dispatching I finally bought Rose Rocket for our 25-truck Midwest fleet. Sticker shock at first (monthly per-user adds up), yet the automated billing cut invoicing time by half and reduced dispute chasing enough that it’s been worth the cost so far.
With a 200-truck fleet in the Southwest and thirty years in operations, I approached Rose Rocket cautiously. Getting started was mostly straightforward - their onboarding specialist guided our team through the first week and the CSV import for drivers and trailers eliminated days of manual entry, which made me very happy. There were a few configuration quirks with rate templates that required extra calls to resolve, but the hands-on support got us operational faster than I expected.
Used it for about six months. Getting started was a pain - onboarding promised "easy imports" but my EDI/CSV uploads kept erroring and suport took days to respond; I lost two loads because the dispatch board wouldn't sync with my phone. Feels clunky and not built with small owner-operators in the Midwest in mind, cost me time and a few hundred bucks in missed detentions so I'm out.
...had low expectations, but the onboarding rep actually set up our trucks and synced my ELD in one call - saved me a ton of time. Took about 20 minutes and I was seeing loads on my phone; that quick ELD hookup is what made me happy. Some of the desktop menus are a bit clunky at first, but getting started was way easier than I figured.
