Two months ago I got a frantic call from a broker after Teletrac flagged "harsh braking" during a night run into Sacramento - turns out the unit logged a pothole and an over-sensitive sensor. After 20 years on the West Coast I know false alerts, but that ping almost cost me the load before I could pull up the trip history; yet a week later the same GPS data let me locate a trailer someone swiped from a yard, so it did save my bacon. Useful when it works, maddening when it doesn't - the alerts need tuning and the event-search is clunky, but I can't deny it paid off when things went sideways.
