Samson Cartwright's review of FreightVerify

Main thing I disliked: the onboarding was a nightmare. After 20 years running West Coast lanes I figured hooking up a tracker would be quick, but it took three days to link two common carriers, support replies were slow and I wound up manually entering PRO numbers to get any visibility. Cost me hours on the phone and one missed delivery window because the ETA feed didn't kick in until after pickup - won't go through that hassle again.

Fifteen years in logistics managing 250 trucks in the Southwest taught me exactly what I need from a mobile tracker. FreightVerify’s mobile app, however, is unreliable - location pings lag by hours and push notifications often never arrive, which forced dispatchers into constant phone checks and cost us two time-sensitive pickups last month. The app also freezes on older devices and the “last known” timestamps are frequently misleading; it created extra work rather than saving any time.

...that little ping when ETA changes is gold - the mobile app notifies me before a broker texts, saves the hassle of recieving a million calls. Saved me a ton of guesswork; after 12 years on the road in the Midwest I can actually plan fuel and layovers better with those quick ETA updates. Map sometimes lags and the app can chew battery on long hauls, but for day-to-day tracking it's real handy.

That time FreightVerify’s alert woke me up at 2 a.m. and actually mattered - priceless. A driver got rerouted through a weekend construction detour and the platform pulled carrier events together to update the ETA and flag an exception before our phones even started blowing up. I forwarded that alert to dispatch, they rebooked the next drop, and we dodged a hefty detention charge. After four years managing our 25-truck fleet in the Midwest, I can tell you I rarely see tracking that cuts the noise like that. Only gripe: the web interface can be sluggish during peak hours, but that one alert paid for the subscription ten times over.
