Price was the dealbreaker for me - way overpriced for what you actually get. Paid a couple hundred bucks a month and still had an ETA miss that caused a day's detention and about $450 in fees; felt like I paid to be babysat by a dashboard that lagged. I'm an owner-operator in the Northeast with 7 years under my belt and this just wasnt worth it, def a waste.

Last week my load sat at the Port of Oakland for eight hours because Savi's dashboard froze on "in transit" and never pushed the port congestion alert. By the time my dispatcher called the carrier manually we missed the appointment and ate a $420 detention fee; their "real-time" visibility felt like watching a paused video. I'm a company driver on the West Coast with three years under my belt, and that night I spent more time on the phone trying to find someone who actually knew the shipment status than I did driving. Supposed to cut down tracking work but instead I had to revert to old-school calls - gave me nothing but headaches and a dent to the paycheck.

I've used Savi for just over three years. What kept me with it is that its ETA alerts actually arrive before my phones blow up - during a heavy snow event last December the platform nudged our plans and saved us a day of detention fees. With an 85-truck operation in the Pacific Northwest, that kind of predictability matters more than pretty maps. It isn't perfect; a handful of carriers still drop timestamps and the feed can stall, which is frustrating when I'm explaining delays to customers. But when I need to know whether a shipment will make the next cut, Savi is the first place I check - and it noticeably cut down the manual tracking calls we used to get.
