Mae Kris's review of Vizion
Two weeks ago a vessel delay at Port Newark threatened to strand 12 loads and rack up detention; Vizion's prompt ETA-change alerts cut our estimated detention exposure by roughly half. The monthly cost felt steep at first, but after tallying avoided detention fees and the hours my dispatchers no longer spent chasing carriers, it paid for itself inside a month. I've run a 150-truck fleet in the Northeast for 28 years, so I can usually tell when a product actually moves the needle versus adding noise. What made me happiest was the single clean data feed - carrier, port, and rail events all normalized into one stream, which reduced mistakes and sped up decision-making. I docked a star because the UI can be clunky and the pricing tiers are a bit opaque, but for cutting detention risk this was worth the spend.
