Shipment itself was handled correctly and delivered on time. My issue was communication during the first few hours. I had to ask for an update twice after pickup and on something this time sensitive I don't really want to be the person initiating every check. Updates were much better after I brought it up and delivery was clean. I'd use them again, just want that part to be more proactive from the start.
We use StarBriges when something can't go through our normal network. Usually a part that's holding up production or a shipment with a delivery window we really can't miss. Last one picked up around 6pm and delivered before our plant opened the next morning. No issues.
2-8C shipment and I probably asked more questions than necessary before booking 😂 They confirmed the equipment before pickup and I had the delivery documentation when our QA team asked for it. Product arrived in range. That's really all I care about.
...switching to StarBriges from the broker I used before was night and day. Their tracking actually matched what was happening on the road , I stopped sitting around waiting for phantom ETAs and was getting called when things changed, which for a PNW owner-operator tight on miles made a real difference. Only gripe: rates ran a bit higher than the cheapest guy, but the time saved made it worth it most days.
