We don't use expedited for everything obviously. It would make no sense. But when a facility is short and the product has to be there tomorrow morning, cost stops being the first question. They've helped us on two of those situations now. Both made it on time.
We use StarBriges when something can't go through our normal network. Usually a part that's holding up production or a shipment with a delivery window we really can't miss. Last one picked up around 6pm and delivered before our plant opened the next morning. No issues.
2-8C shipment and I probably asked more questions than necessary before booking 😂 They confirmed the equipment before pickup and I had the delivery documentation when our QA team asked for it. Product arrived in range. That's really all I care about.
...switching to StarBriges from the broker I used before was night and day. Their tracking actually matched what was happening on the road , I stopped sitting around waiting for phantom ETAs and was getting called when things changed, which for a PNW owner-operator tight on miles made a real difference. Only gripe: rates ran a bit higher than the cheapest guy, but the time saved made it worth it most days.
