Bottom line: Alliance Shippers' real-time temperature alerts are why a full reefer load didn't become a total loss. Running a Midwest fleet of 40 trucks with 18 years in the business, those minute-by-minute alerts pushed us to reroute and hand off in time - saved the customer and my margin.

Alliance's "real-time" tracking is the worst - on a recent reefer run the app showed my trailer at the DC for hours while I was still two exits away, which cost me a $350 detention fee and a missed delivery window. Support sent canned responses, no ownership, and i spent the next day on hold dealing with angry calls; not worth the headache.
Bottom line: not worth the money. Their quote looked fine until surprise accessorials and a phantom fuel surcharge turned a decent lane into a loss - I operate three trucks on West Coast runs and this bled $300–400 from my margin per load.
