Samson Cartwright's review of SEKO Logistics

When a pallet of replacement racks got misrouted to Chicago the night before a big West Coast install, SEKO flagged it in their portal and rerouted it onto an overnight flight so the crew could still set up on Monday. I’ve been an owner-operator on the West Coast for 20 years and I don’t get rattled easily, but the combination of real-time tracking and an actual human on the phone calmed me down fast. Saved the job - and my reputation - which is worth more than the freight bill.

Last March a SEKO pickup dropped a pallet of hospital monitors at the wrong distribution center and we watched it sit for 36 hours before anyone owned up to the mistake. Their tracking portal showed the pallet moving the whole time - maddeningly accurate and useless when no one answered my calls. I'm an owner-operator with three trucks in the Midwest and 22 years on the road, so when they finally rerouted it and covered part of the detention I was relieved but not impressed; customer support felt scattered and that lost day of revenue stung.

Working the Pacific Northwest routes for a company with about 100 trucks, I've been in operations for seven years and recently put our drivers onto SEKO's mobile app. What really made a difference for us was the offline capture - photos, signatures and GPS are recorded without signal and then automatically push to the portal when the phone reconnects. Fewer late-night calls asking for proof, and far less paper chasing at shift change; small thing but it freed up hours each week. Drivers picked up the interface immediately - big buttons, clear prompts - and the app rarely froze on longer hauls. After years of juggling messy PODs, this actually cut dispute time and admin work, so it's a solid five stars from my desk.

So when a last-minute electronics shipment needed to hit three distribution centers in two days, SEKO mostly pulled through. Their tracking portal actually showed timely updates - helped me reassign trucks from our 85-truck fleet after sixteen years managing routes in the Pacific Northwest - but the promised same-day transfer at the hub missed the window. That miss forced an overnight layover and an irate retail contact; follow-up communication was slow and vague, which is maddening when every hour costs us. On the flip side, when customs flagged a separate batch they pushed paperwork through faster than I expected and got it cleared without me having to chase. I’m honestly torn: the visibility and a few clutch saves matter, but the inconsistency under tight deadlines means I won’t book blackout-date moves with them without a backup plan.
