A shipment bound for a key retail customer missed a delivery window after it sat at TFI's regional yard for three days with no clear status update. Compared with the regional carrier we relied on previously, TFI's national network gave us more routing choices and sometimes better linehaul pricing, but their pickup consistency and local dispatcher responsiveness were noticeably worse. With ten years managing a thirty-truck fleet on the West Coast, I found myself using TFI for non-urgent lanes and reverting to the smaller carrier when timing mattered - an awkward middle ground that left me neither impressed nor ready to fully commit.
