Morton O'Reilly's review of Forward Air
What surprised me most was how clockwork their pickup windows are - I'll pick that predictability over slightly lower bids any day. Before Forward Air we used a national LTL that treated ETAs like suggestions, and my dispatchers were constantly rearranging runs to chase late freight. After three years running a 20-truck fleet in the Northeast, switching them onto our retail lanes cut the “where is my load” calls in half. Their airport-to-airport hops have been especially reliable; one next-day account hasn't missed a slot since we moved it over. I'm keeping them at four stars because every few months a busy terminal will cost us a couple hours, and their rates sit above the bottom feeders, but the reduced headaches make it a net win for my operation.
