Bottom line: Forward Air is faster and more on-time than the regional carrier I used before, but it doesn't feel like a straightforward upgrade for my business. I run three trucks on the West Coast and the scheduled airport-to-airport lanes are great when they hit - yet the booking portal is clunky and the accessorials/detention add up so quickly that I end up using my old, looser broker for lots of local runs despite appreciating the speed here.

Nine years, three trucks, Southeast routes - I've seen a lot of apps. Forward Air's mobile app kept crashing during terminal check-ins and the GPS wouldn't update, so dispatch showed us at the wrong location and we missed an airport-to-air connection; cost me roughly $400 in detention and a reassignment fee after sitting on hold for an hour. Can't rely on it for time-sensitive runs until they fix the check-in/upload bugs.
