For a 55-truck operation I've run for twelve years, that leaves me genuinely torn - useful in spikes, hard to defend as a constant cost.
I've used Mode for nine years. For my 60-truck fleet in the Southeast, the thing that stood out was their intermodal pricing - saved us roughly $100–150 a load on JAX–CHI runs and cut down on empty miles. Billing's simple enough that I'm not spending half my week on disputes, so for the price it's been worth sticking with them.
