Margie Kovacek's review of Uber Freight
Last month a load bound for a Phoenix distribution center disappeared from the tracking screen an hour before pickup; the carrier confirmation that had been visible all morning was suddenly listed as "canceled" with no explanation. I am admin staff for a 250-truck fleet with 15 years in the Southwest, and that unreported cancellation left one of our drivers idle for six hours, accruing detention and deadhead costs we had to absorb because the Uber Freight rep could not reassign a load or offer a prompt workable alternative. We were forced to rebook at market rates and paid roughly $3,500 out of pocket plus a customer penalty - an expensive disruption caused by opaque status updates and glacial support response.
