Bottom line: Uber Freight TMS got us back on schedule during a sudden I-5 closure by sourcing replacement carriers in under an hour. Midway through last quarter three outbound loads to Portland were impacted, and with me managing a 30-truck fleet on the West Coast the platform’s automated carrier-sourcing and live ETA updates cut the usual chaos down to a handful of calls and one updated spreadsheet - the execution flow and visibility kept drivers and customers on the same page. It isn’t perfect (I had to chase a misapplied accessorial on the invoice afterward), but for live recovery and short-notice coverage it’s been reliably effective.
