Bottom line: the Uber Freight TMS mobile app is handy for real-time check-ins but feels like it was built by two different teams. On the road it's great to see ETA updates and carrier pickups on my phone; drivers like the clean load screens and quick access to PODs. But the app drops connections in low-service areas and sync delays make invoicing a headache - I had drivers re-enter PODs twice last week. I've been in the business 28 years and run 150 trucks; small annoyances pile up into lost hours when uploads stall and maps don't refresh cleanly. I'm genuinely torn: when it works we cut a lot of back-and-forth, but the intermittent crashes and vague error messages mean we still keep a paper backup in every cab.
