After twenty years hauling on the West Coast, seeing that the trailer was never scanned let me abort the run before I hit Bay Bridge traffic and a wasted two hours. But the carrier integration bungled the PODs and brokers never got proof - billing stalled for two weeks and I spent half that time on the phone, so I’m torn: brilliant tracking, dodgy backend.
On my first run they handed me a tablet and said "Use Fretron for updates" - I almost rolled my eyes, but a one-time text link got me into the exact load in under a minute. What really sold me was that SMS auto-login that dropped me right on the shipment page; no hunting through emails or resetting passwords between stops. Setting up the office side took a short call, but for a driver running routes across the Midwest it removed a ton of phone tag, so I'm giving it a solid 4/5.
...it gives solid ETA nudges and route tweaks, but when the app loses GPS in the sticks my delivery logging becomes guesswork and I end up double-checking paperwork. Day-to-day it's useful - just wish the check-in was one tap and that it cached properly so I don't fight dead zones every other load.
