Compared to the spreadsheets and missed calls I ran with for years, Fretron actually shows where trucks are which cut down guesswork, but the load-entry UI is awkward and notifcations come late so it's useful some days and maddening others - I'm an owner-operator with 18 years in the Southeast and still torn if the switch really helped.
The real-time map saved my bacon when a shipper tried to ghost us on a rainy Tuesday. After twenty years hauling on the West Coast, seeing that the trailer was never scanned let me abort the run before I hit Bay Bridge traffic and a wasted two hours. But the carrier integration bungled the PODs and brokers never got proof - billing stalled for two weeks and I spent half that time on the phone, so I’m torn: brilliant tracking, dodgy backend.
