Mateo Senger's review of ProTransport

I've used ProTransport for four years. The mobile app's instant photo/POD uploads with time and GPS stamps cut our back-and-forth calls to drivers in half - on a 100-truck Northeast fleet, after 22 years dispatching I finally stopped chasing signatures every night.

What I liked most was that ProTransport didn't panic when everything else did. With 50 trucks across the Northeast and nearly 18 years of running fleets, I needed the TMS to keep dispatch moving even when carriers, brokers, or the office internet went sideways - ProTransport kept status updates flowing and drivers on the road. The feature that really saved us was the background sync/queueing: during a winter outage our changes queued locally and pushed as soon as connectivity returned, which prevented a scramble and missed pickups. It has rough edges (integrations need occasional tweaking and the UI lags on older desktops), but downtime has been rare and that steady reliability made it valuable for our operation.

Wasn't expecting much from the sticker price, but ProTransport ended up feeling like a solid buy. For our 20-truck fleet in the Northeast and after three years using it, the monthly subscription is noticeably cheaper than the big-name TMS vendors and the onboarding fee wasn't painful. What made me happiest - and the main reason I'm okay paying what we pay - is the configurable workflow that automates invoicing; it cut our billing time in half and stopped those small, recurring charge mistakes. Support took a couple of tries to get a tricky connector working, so it's not perfect. Four stars because the cost-to-benefit ratio is strong for mid-sized fleets that want that specific automation without enterprise pricing.

Getting started with ProTransport was harder than I expected. Onboarding ate up far more time than the demos implied, and the documenation had enough gaps that our initial load and dispatch workflows required outside consulting to stabilize. We are a 15-truck fleet in the Southeast with five years' experience, and while the system begins to pay off after configuration I remain ambivalent - the reporting is helpful, but getting there felt unnecessarily painful.
