Morton O'Reilly's review of FourKites
Bottom line: the mobile app has been more trouble than it's worth on our daily runs. It crashes when drivers try to update statuses, GPS jumps around so ETAs flip wildly, and notifications often arrive minutes or even an hour late - so everyone ends up calling each other anyway. With twenty trucks in the Northeast that lost trust translates to extra phone time, missed pickups, and last month a delayed delivery cost us a $350 detention fee and a very unhappy customer. The sync problem is maddening: dispatch can see a location on the desktop but the driver’s phone won’t get the update unless they force-quit and reopen the app, which is not realistic on the road. They need to fix the stability and push notifications first; until then the app creates more work than it saves.
