Last March when the nor'easter shut down I-95 north of New Haven and left 27 loads stalled in snow, Infor pinged me with a cluster alert and updated ETAs before half my drivers could even call in. The predictive ETA and automated reallocation flagged which loads to swap and suggested alternate delivery windows, so my dispatchers rerouted three teams and reassigned two pickups on the fly instead of having everyone sit idle. I run 150 trucks and after 28 years on the road I don't get rattled easily, but watching the timeline shift in real time and seeing a clear list of swap candidates saved us from massive detention - probably tens of thousands in fees that day. What made me happiest was one simple thing: it kept drivers moving when the roads didn’t, and the alerts were obvious enough that the team could act fast under pressure.
