Bottom line: Manhattan's Transportation Management is dependable enough for routine runs but can let you down when timing is critical. Most of the time the platform nails ETAs and keeps dispatch simple. I manage 75 trucks across the Pacific Northwest and after eight years in this business I appreciate that when the system behaves it actually speeds driver assignments and cuts the usual phone tag. Trouble is, during two month-end peaks and a late-winter storm we saw delayed status syncs and sudden reroutes that weren't reflected to drivers for an hour or more, which cost us a couple of missed windows. So it's useful and has real upside, but plan a fallback for truly time-sensitive loads - don't rely on it blindly.
