Managing a 20-truck fleet across the Northeast, I’ve relied on MercuryGate for the past three years - mostly because it promised to simplify routing and visibility. In practice the system has been flaky when it mattered: two separate outages last quarter (one during morning dispatch and one mid-afternoon) left load tenders stuck in limbo and trucks sitting idle while customers fumed. Location updates would lag by an hour or more, so by the time we tried to reroute around traffic the window had closed and we were paying detention. Support eventually responded, but the turnaround time cost us loads and strained driver schedules. Frustrating - good features on paper, but reliability problems made it more trouble than it was worth for our operation.
