Adonis Kerluke's review of Geotab
I've used Geotab for eight years. Last summer, in the middle of wildfire season, the GPS on truck #47 froze and kept reporting the same rest-area coordinates for sixteen hours in the middle of a 500-mile run, so we had no real-time location and couldn't verify the trailer was still on route. Support didn't pick up the ticket for almost two days, by which time the delayed load triggered a $4,200 penalty from the customer and additional recovery expenses; that's money straight off the bottom line for a 75-truck outfit with a tight maintenance budget. The dashboard has so many cluttered menus that when something is actively wrong, finding actionable logs is needlessly slow, and our techs said the device logs were of little help. Two stars because the idea is useful, but when a single hardware/comms failure turns into a multi-thousand-dollar mess and support is slow, it makes me rethink relying on it for critical runs.
