Before Geotab we were on a basic GPS tracker that only showed location and idle time, so we were always reacting to breakdowns instead of preventing them. The thing that made me happiest was the automated maintenance reminders tied to actual fault codes - since we switched, unexpected downtime has dropped noticeably. With twenty trucks and three years running them across the Northeast, that uptick in reliability showed up fast during winter hauls. My only gripe is the setup and rule-tuning takes patience; the dashboard felt cluttered until we customized it, but the trade-off has been worth it.
