Pricey, but the fuel savings offset most of the monthly fees. After thirty years in the business managing 200 trucks in the Southwest, I found Onfleet’s route optimization cut empty miles and tightened ETAs enough to yield a modest single-digit reduction in fuel spend - that margin made the subscription acceptable for our scale. Smaller outfits should weigh the sticker shock against their density of local stops before committing.

I've been using Onfleet for about two years. Their route optimizer really stood out - it can squeeze extra stops into a run and shave drive time, which was great for my small two-truck operation. But it's stubborn about certain turns and ignores local shortcuts my drivers know; once it routed us into a dead-end cul-de-sac and cost us 20 minutes, so now I find myself manually tweaking half the runs.
