Larissa Lemke's review of Locus
Bottom line: Locus does a lot right, but it's not always there when the day goes sideways. Mid-December, during a regional snow and rush-hour gridlock, route re-calcs lagged or dropped altogether - ETAs froze and drivers kept getting old instructions while customers called; after 18 years managing a 50-truck fleet in the Northeast, that kind of failure costs me more than just minutes. When the platform is healthy, live tracking is actually helpful and automated dispatch cuts admin work, so on normal days it feels like a win. But we've had API hiccups and delayed exception alerts - 15 to 30 minutes is typical - which wiped out the trust we'd built with a few key retail partners. I'll keep Locus in the stack for planning and medium-risk runs, but we now run a parallel manual check for any peak or bad-weather windows because reliability needs to be better before I let it run solo.
